Boys Dance Too!
At BRB, we strongly believe and support the idea that dance educates young men through physical challenges, good manners, team building, mental discipline and focus.
Dance is also a proven tool to help young athletes with flexibility, strength, precision and control, which improves performance in any sport. Famous athletes such as Michael Jordan, Herschel Walker, Evander Holyfield and many more have taken dance to improve their athleticism.
FREE Boys Workshop & Performance Opportunity
In an effort to encourage the development of more young men in dance, Bay Ridge Ballet offers FREE Boys Workshops for participants to see that they are not alone in their love of dance.
Taught by Founding Director Patricia Foster-Grado, the Boys Workshops for ages 6 to 10 are uniquely designed with engaging, age-appropriate material, given to students through 6 weekly classes created especially to train young male dancers.
Dancers participating in the Boys Workshops are given the opportunity to participate in both the Recital and Performance in the Park in June. Please see our online calendar for dates.
