SUMMER INTENSIVE

A Quality Training Experience for Ages 8 - 12

You’re invited to Bay Ridge Ballet’s 2026 Summer Intensive at our beautiful Brooklyn studio located at 110 Bay Ridge Avenue!

Join us for an inspiring, new three-week program featuring exceptional instructors and a diverse curriculum spanning multiple dance styles. This intensive is designed to elevate dancers’ technique, artistry, and confidence, setting them up for success in the upcoming season.

Tailored specifically for dedicated young dancers ages 8 to 12, our program offers challenging yet supportive classes led by highly experienced, world-class faculty. In a nurturing environment, students will explore their full technical and creative potential through our engaging, well-rounded schedule.

At Bay Ridge Ballet, our mission is to inspire the next generation of dancers to reach new heights. Through the transformative power of dance, we nurture not just skilled performers, but well-rounded individuals.

Each week of our 2026 Summer Intensive spotlights a key technical focus to build strong, progressive skills:

• Week 1 - Arabesques, Développés & Extensions: This week's training prioritizes the strength and flexibility needed for high, controlled extensions while maintaining proper dance alignment and precise muscle engagement.

• Week 2 - Turns: Focused on technical mastery, this week emphasizes spotting and precision to help dancers achieve greater consistency and confidence in all their turns.

• Week 3 - Allegro: Conclude the intensive with a surge of momentum as dancers master the art of flight. This session focuses on the precision of petit and grand allegro, challenging dancers to achieve effortless elevation, intricate footwork, and flawless musical timing.

Every week, dancers will learn a fresh variation from timeless classics like Swan Lake, Coppélia, and more, giving them the chance to embody iconic roles!

To round out the training and support well-rounded growth, we complement core technique classes with enriching sessions in stretching & conditioning, nutrition, anatomy, acting, pointe preparedness (where appropriate), and ballet history.

The program wraps up with an exciting performance on the final day, where dancers showcase their growth and accomplishments!

Dancers may attend individual weeks or the full program (recommended). Spaces are limited! Secure your spot today and help your young dancer thrive!
